BAIL ENFORCEMENT AGENT TRAINING
STATE OF CONNECTICUT
REQUIREMENTS
To become a licensed bail enforcement agent, the State of Connecticut requires you to receive instruction in the laws of arrest, search & seizure law, use of physical force constitutional law or introduction to the criminal justice system.
For eligibility requirements go to the State Police Website at www.ct.gov/dps. Click on Special Licensing then click on Bail Enforcement. Also review Connecticut General Statues 29-152e thru 29-152o.
The instruction you will receive is based upon my twenty-five years of experience as a law enforcement officer in the City of New Haven, having made numerous arrests of felons both armed and unarmed, as a Field Training Officer acting as a mentor for police recruits while showing them how to apply academy training in real life situations and as an instructor in the police academy
As it pertains to self-defense you have a right to carry a firearm and if it is your intention to carry a handgun as a bail enforcement agent, then you must complete the bail enforcement agent handgun course.
NOTE: The handgun you train with will be the only firearm that you can carry and use for self-defense while engaged in the act of fugitive recovery.
Before you can take the bail enforcement firearms training you must have a Connecticut Pistol Permit, your own handgun, ear & eye protection and 100 rounds of ammunition.

As in all my courses, you can expect and you will receive personalized training and coaching with your handgun
I will closely monitor each and every shot you fire in order
to improve upon your marksmanship skills.
Upon completion of the course you will receive a certificate of course completion, your own personalized course outline, State Police Form DPS164c to obtain your Bail Enforcement/Bail Bondsman firearms permit and a FREE handgun cleaning kit
